Ramiro Corrales

Former North Salinas High soccer standout and Olympian Ramiro Corrales will be inducted into the San Jose Earthquakes Hall of Fame on Saturday, Sept. 5.
Corrales, who was part of the inaugural MLS draft in 1996, retired after the 2013 season as the teams all-time leader in games played (250), starts (228) and minutes played (20,188).
During his MLS career, which included stops in Miami and New York, the 6-foot-3 defender scored 16 goals and assisted on 32.
Corrales was drafted out of high school, three months after leading North Salinas to a share of the program's first ever Central Coast Section Division I soccer title.
