Football Tour XIII (Pacific Grove)

Pacific Grove (10-2, 6-0)
It was the trifecta for the Breakers, who won the Mission Trail Athletic League title, "The Shoe" and posted an undefeated league record for the first time since 2008.
After four straight seasons of improvement in the win column, Pacific Grove settled for 10 wins last year before falling in the CCS Division IV semifinals.
But there are holes to fill this fall for the Breakers, starting at tailback as Jason Leach and his 3,400 rushing yards and 38 touchdowns over the last two years is gone.
In fact, the entire backfield will have a new look this season. Alternating their offense after Week 3 saw Pacific Grove rattle off eight straight wins last year.
An argument can be made that the defense carried this team during its winning streak, holding seven of their eight opponents to 13 points or less.
The core of that defense is intact with the return of James Donlon and Uche Ebo, who combined for 25 sacks last season.
Ebo could also see significant time in the backfield, having improved his speed and quickness in the spring by running track.
A strength for the Breakers is their discipline. There are a lot of leaders in that senior group. It's their turn to step up.
