The former Salinas High and Hartnell College pitching ace continues to put up impressive numbers for the Chicago Cubs Double A affiliate in Tennessee, sporting a 1.31 earned run average.
Jensen has appeared in 14 games for Tennessee, all in relief. In 20 2/3 innings, he has 21 strikeouts with one win and one save.
Blessed with a 90 plus mph fastball, the 6-foot-1 24-year-old Jensen is averaging 2.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
Last year Jensen was 7-4 in 34 relief appearances with a 2.85 ERA for the Cubs Class A team.
