Zach McDermott, Salinas
Shattered the Salinas single-season school passing record with 2,128 yards, tossing 17 touchdown passes for the Gabilan Division co-champions.
McDermott, The Herald’s Offensive MVP in football, also rushed for nearly 800 yards and 16 touchdowns, compiling over 3,000 yards in total offense for the CCS Division I runner ups.
The senior also started in baseball for the Cowboys, earning all-county honorable mention honors, finishing among the team leaders in hits and multiple hit games.
