The junior excelled in four sports for the Pirates, earning all-county honors in softball for the second straight year after hitting nine home runs and driving in 25 runs.
Main, who has verbally committed to pitch for the University of New Mexico in 2017, compiled 206 strikeouts in 153 innings, winning 12 games and completing 22.When the 16-year-old wasn’t in the circle, she was anchoring two relay teams in swimming for the Pirates, also competing in the 100 and 200 frees.
In the fall, Main produced 70 goals for the Pirates water polo team. She helped them to a league tournament title and a share of the Pacific Division championship, earning the league’s Junior of the Year honor.
In the winter, Main was a sweeper on Stevenson’s soccer team, earning the Mission Trail Athletic League’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
