Candidates for Athlete of the Year

Sarah Muzik, Notre Dame

The Pacific Division’s Player of the Year in basketball, Muzik earned all-county honors in both basketball and softball.

On the hardwood, the guard helped the Spirits to a Pacific Division title and a trip to the CIF State Northern California Division V tournament. Muzik averaged 12 points a game while leading the county in assists (185).
Softball is where Muzik will play at the next level, having earned a scholarship to the University of Hawaii as a slap hitting shortstop.
A wizard with the glove, Muzik made things happen in the leadoff spot for the CCS D3 champion Spirits. She hit .450, scoring 30 runs and stealing 15 bases, earning all-county honors for the second straight year.
