King City Invite

One of the longest running track and field meets in the state has changed dates.
In an effort to attract more schools, the 71st King City Invitational has moved to this weekend -- the final weekend before the league finals.
Athletes will get one more high caliber meet to shave time on the Mustangs lightening fast blue all-weather track.
At least one Central Coast Section leader will be on hand in King City's Edgar Bonilla, who has run 4:18.66 in the 1,600.
At one time, this was one of the biggest meets in the state with over 60 schools taking part.
Some of the names that have graced the grounds over time include Olympic gold medalists Alvin and Calvin Harrison, Andre Phillips and Millard Hampton.
