The one-time Carmel High three-sport standout has gotten off to a fast start for the Cal Bears baseball team, leading the team in doubles through their first 11 games.
The right fielder is hitting .262 for the Bears in 11 starts, with five of his 11 hits going for extra bases. Pearson has one homer and eight runs batted in. He’s also been flawless in handling 17 chances in the outfield.
A two-time Herald Male Athlete of the Year, Pearson was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2012 MLB amateur draft.
