CCS Division V quarterfinals
Saturday's game
No. 6 Stevenson (17-7) vs. No. 3 Oakwood (19-5) at Alma Heights High, 2:45 p.m.
Ignore the fact that Oakwood plays in the Coastal Athletic League. This is a program that won the Gilroy Tournament earlier this year and has wins over three playoff teams from other divisions.
Based out of Morgan Hill, Oakwood has won 12 straight games and has yet to taste defeat in 2014. Its last loss to a team in the CCS was by two points to Carmel on Dec. 18.
Stevenson has caught fire at the right time, sporting a 10-1 record in its last 11 games, including a playoff opening win over San Francisco Christian.
The Pirates have made a living outside the 3-point line this year, knocking down 191, including nine in its playoff opener.
For as young as Stevenson is, it's been seniors Matt Chodosh and Jack Burgess that have picked up the team down the stretch along with sophomore sharpshooter Parker Olin.
