 No one will argue that Castilleja plays in arguably one of the toughest leagues in the section in the West Bay Foothill League.
 Case in point is the Gators are 8-4 outside league play. It also has one of the elite players in the area in senior guard Paige Vermeer, who is averaging just under 15 points a game.
 The Mission Trail Athletic League champion Padres have flown under the radar all season, having had winning streaks of eight, five and five.
 MTAL Most Valuable Player Holly Whittaker is averaging nearly 17 points a game with a team-high 33 3-point goals while Amber Clark has been a double-double machine.
 Carmel was impressive in a win over Harker, building as much as a 35-point lead. But it has to play better to compete against the Gators.
