In Stevenson's case, a third loss could be crippling to its title hopes, especially when you consider that Carmel has not lost more than two games in league during its run of four straight titles.
The Breakers have stumbled a bit of late, having fallen by nine to Carmel and Monterey in a non-league game.
Finding someone other than Brad Sendell to produce points consistently has been work in progress for Pacific Grove. Newcomer Erol Ersek is still learning the system.
Matt Chodosh and Parker Olin have been a nice combination for the Pirates, averaging a combined 27.1 points a game. Olin is a threat beyond the 3-point arc, as is Jack Burgess.
Stevenson is just 2-2 at home this year.
