Seaside
After playing just five non-league games last season, the Spartans will have doubled that number this year by the time league play roles around.
And the defending Gabilan Division champions needed the extra work.
This is practically a brand new unit on the court, minus R.J. Johnson. And it's taken time for Seaside to develop chemistry on the court, with Johnson running the point.
One source of offense comes in the paint with 6-foot-4 senior Dariyn Choates. He's also disruptive on defense with his size and long arms.
Andrew Jakubowsky is no longer a role player. The senior gives Seaside an option on the perimeter. But the bench is raw with a lot of new faces.
Defending its league title will be a challenge this year for Seaside. This team lost three all-leaguers, two of which shared league MVP honors.
