Boys basketball preview XIII

Pacific Grove
Capturing a share of the Mission Trail Athletic League title last year was somewhat of a surprise, considering head coach Dan Powers had three freshmen in his rotation.
While Pacific Grove lost its leading scorer and co-MVP of the MTAL to graduation, the rest of the team is intact for another run at supremacy.
Sophomore Brad Sendell averaged nearly nine points a game last season while 6-foot-4 sophomore Zachary Miller will be a presence in the paint.
Miller was a MTAL sprint champion last spring, giving the Breakers a post that can run the floor like a point guard.
In addition, returning all-leaguer Sam Fenstermaker is an unselfish defensive minded player that fits Powers' schemes.
The Breakers lost their first eight games last year while developing that chemistry. You could tell in the teams first two games this year that the cohesiveness is already in place.
