Salinas boys hoops

 What was more impressive?
Winning two tournament titles over the course of six days?
Or playing six games in six days -- five on the road -- and going 5-1?
Oh, the final game went to overtime in the Carmel Classic championship.
It's a testament to Salinas' depth and talent, not to mention clutch play in critical moments -- none bigger than Nat Hunsdorfer sinking two free throws in OT to sink Gunderson.
Salinas won the final two games of the Carmel Classic by two points.
The Cowboys have no shortage of scoring options with LaRon Logwood, Willie Gray and Tim Harper all leading the team in scoring over the last five days.
But it also has players like Hunsdorfer, unafraid to muscle up and pull down rebounds, or Richard Torres, who can provide a spark from the perimeter, as well as senior leadership.
Considering Salinas has played just one home game all year, 8-1 sounds like a team built to win anywhere.
