Boys basketball preview III

Gonzales
Chrystian Harrigan took the Spartans into uncharted waters last season, averaging nearly 23 points a game in guiding them to the postseason.
Yet, for Gonzales to take the next step and potentially challenge for league supremacy, others have to step up and contribute this winter.
Not a simple task, considering last year's team was a senior heavy team.
Harrigan will see a lot of double teams when he penetrates. Knocking down the perimeter shot will force teams to come out on him, creating lanes.
Isaac Madrigal has given Gonzales another option in non-league play, dropping in 25 points in the teams first win.
One player worth watching develop this year is 6-foot-6 sophomore Gil Rodriguez, who could give the Spartans a presence in the paint.
