 The Falcons won the Santa Clara Valley El Camino Division with a 12-0 record while Monterey won the MBL Pacific Division crown with an 11-1 mark.
 A common opponent is Watsonville, who knocked the Toreadores from the unbeaten ranks in the Pacific Division. Three days earlier, Saratoga beat the Wildcatz in a tournament.
 Monterey's offense revolves around Sasha Krnic, a powerful presence on the outside, while Anastasia Radko has been a demon on defense with over 200 digs.
 Feeding Pacific Division MVP candidate Krnic and the Toreadores offense has been setter Alyssa Flanary, whose timing with her sets has been impeccable.
 Saratoga's attack has three hitters at the net that stand 5-10 or taller, including senior middle Alex Ferrari.
 The winner gets nationally ranked and top seed St. Ignatius of San Francisco on Saturday.
