Mercy-Burlingame-Carmel volleyball

Wednesday's match
CCS Division IV playoffs
Mercy-Burlingame (18-15) at Carmel (25-3), 7 p.m.
Having established a new single season school record for wins, now the MTAL champion Padres turn their attention to extending their season on the court.
Two of Carmel's setbacks this season came from Notre Dame, which is in Division V. The other came from Harker of San Jose, which ended the Padres season last fall and is seeded No. 2 in Division IV.
The Crusaders won the West Bay Skyline Division with a 9-1 mark. They do have some power at the net in 6-1 hitter Ciara Fitzpatrick.
Carmel has come at opponents all year with an arsenal of hitters, as four players have over 100 kills, including sophomore Megan Gonzalez, as well as Amber Clark, Katy Field and Hana Nystrom.
Quarterbacking this offense has been setter Kaylee Arthur, who has over 700 assists for the second straight year while the defense is anchored by four-year libero Julianna House.
