Alvarez football

 There will be some big shoes to fill next year for the Eagles, namely quarterback Edric Gamble.
 The senior broke the career rushing record at Alvarez with back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons. His 34 rushing touchdowns is also a school record.
 Gamble was magical in the open field on the run, providing a dual threat with his arm. You can't teach natural talent.
 This is a team with 28 seniors on its roster, with its top five scorers all seniors.
 This is a group of players that resurrected a winless program with 19 wins over the last two years, reaching the CCS semifinals in back-to-back seasons for the first time ever.
 While the cupboard is not bare, there are a lot of positions to fill, leadership voids. The objective is not to rebuild, but reload.
