Pacific Grove football

Since giving up 28 points in the first half against SAC Joaquin Section power Hilmar, the Breakers defense has held four MTAL opponents to 22 points.
Two of those touchdowns came late in the game when reserves and a running clock were in order.
No doubt, the offensive numbers are what get peoples attention, particularly when Jason Leach is averaging nearly 10 yards a carry.
But if Pacific Grove is going to make a run at the MTAL title, its defense will have to dictate the tempo in the league finale for 'The Shoe'.
James Donlon is coming off the edge on blitz's, having recorded nine sacks this year, while returning a fumble for a touchdown.
Keenan Selbicky has been a menace in the middle of that defense, putting himself on pace for over 100 tackles. And Uche Ebo has quietly produced eight sacks as a pass rushing end.
