Stevenson-St. Francis football

Saturday's game
Stevenson (1-2) at St. Francis Catholic (1-2), 2 p.m.
Since opening the season with a win, the Sharks have been outscored 96-23 in two losses.
More than half the squad is comprised of freshmen and sophomores, which is why St. Francis is playing an independent schedule for the second straight year.
The Pirates showed the rust of a team that had not played a game, overcoming a 14-point first half deficit last week by rallying for the games final 20 points.
Of the 56 plays Stevenson ran, 40 were on the ground as quarterback Read Reynolds rushed for 62 yards and threw for 72, including a touchdown pass to Jack Hewitt.
St. Francis is a pass first attack as quarterback Nick Ciandro has thrown for 538 yards this fall while the ground game has mustered just 162 yards.
