Pajaro-Gonzales football

Friday's game
Pajaro Valley (2-1) at Gonzales (1-1), 7:30 p.m.
The Grizzlies tour through the Mission Trail Athletic League in non-league play has included wins over Marina and Greenfield.
Having snapped a 17-game losing streak last week, Gonzales put up 55 points in its win over St. Francis Catholic, its first 50 plus point game since 2003.
The Spartans had 535 yards in total offense, with quarterback Chrystian Harrigan accounting for 358 of them through the air or on the ground, producing five touchdowns.
Harrigan looked poised behind center, averaging 15.3 yards each time he ran the ball and 20.1 yards per completion.
Gonzales' defense will have to account for tailback John Mason, who is on pace to rush for 1,500 yards for the Grizzlies.
Pajaro Valley's defense has not allowed a point in the first half and has a defensive touchdown. No team has been more balanced offensively than the Spartans.
