A come-from-behind fourth quarter win over Merced was a confidence booster for Los Medanos. It ran 71 plays last week, 49 on the ground.
Don't throw the ball in the direction of Markie Beltram, who returned three interceptions for 93 yards last week for Los Medanos.
Last year's struggles in running the ball have not disappeared for MPC. It averaged just 1.8 yards a carry last week.
However, three different quarterbacks threw touchdown passes, including Keon Marsh, who threw for 244 yards and two scoring strikes.
Joseph Jakubowsky caught six passes for over 100 yards while Jameel Kirkland was on the receiving end off two touchdown catches.
Defensive backs Paul Williams, Akeel Marsh and Marquise Jones combined for 17 tackles last week for the Lobos while Brian Hunt returned an interception 93 yards for a touchdown.
