King City baseball

All season King City coach Lorenzo Espino has harped on cutting down on the walks and errors.
A funny thing happened when the Mustangs obliged.
 They haven't lost.
Granted it's just a three game winning streak going into today's battle with Stevenson.
Yet, it's three wins King City didn't have a week ago when it was 0-6 in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
It's going to be an uphill climb for the Mustangs to entertain playoff thoughts.
But at least there is a pulse. And now the confidence has been restored.
Chase Barbree and Adrian Pina are spraying the ball all over the field while Trent Salcido and Jordan Silva are coming off a combined two-hitter.
Yet, what pleased Espino in a 1-0 win over Stevenson last Friday was the Mustangs ability to execute and manufacture a run.
 That's a sign of a team maturing.
