Palma-Seaside boys final?

Are we headed for a CCS Division IV boys basketball finals showdown?
It won't be that simple for either Palma or Seaside when both teams face opponents familiar with the pressure of the postseason on Tuesday at Menlo in the semifinals.
Palma is in the Central Coast Section Division IV semifinals for the ninth straight year.
Only once has it reached the finals.
Seaside has the longest tenured postseason run in boys hoops at over three decades. But up until last year, it hadn't gotten out of the first round since 2008.
The Chieftains can look at this as the redemption tour, having avenged last year's season ending loss to Division IV champion Menlo on Saturday.
Up next is Sacred Heart Prep of Atherton, who beat them in the 2010 Division IV finals. This is like a home game for the Gators, whose campus is next door to Menlo's.
The Gabilan Division champion Spartans face a Harker team that has knocked five Monterey County teams out of the playoffs in the last six years, including Carmel this year.

John- your research is a bit off.
2007-Palma won vs. RLS in semi, won D4 title vs. Menlo
2008-Palma won vs. PG in semi, loss D4 title vs. Menlo
2010-Palma Won vs. Harbor semi, Loss D4 title vs.SHP

3 semi final wins and D4 title appearances in last nine years.

Hoping for a 4th. :-)

Palma is going to have a tough time againt Sacre Heart Prep at the Menlo Gym. Seems Palma has a very tough time making shots in that gym. Palma will need to change their style and get the ball inside and play really good defense if they are going to have a shot. Menlo gym is like a home field for SHP - litterally 5 minute walking distance and they play in this gym ahainst their league foe. On a neutral gym, Palma would have a good shot, but SHP will have a big advantage in this one. I'm hoping Palma wins, but given the way they have looked there the last few years, they will need to change their approach else they will lose by 10. Palma will not be able to hit the outside shots consistently in that gym. Seaside can have better success their based on their style of play.
