It wasn't ideal.
Face Baseball America's No. 1 ranked team in the nation in St. Francis, and then have to think about a 10-0 loss for 10 days.
Losing has a way of refocusing teams.
For a Pacific Grove squad that was 31-0 last year, two losses in its first five games hasn't sat well.
The streak is over. The attention is gone.
Now the focus shifts to getting back to a level the program is accustomed too.
Taking a step back is not part of the agenda for the reigning two-time CCS Division III champions.
