The players took it upon themselves to raise their level of play.
The result has the Toreadores on a three-game winning streak and within a game of Palma.
No doubt, this is a team still growing up. It's been on-the-job training.
Coaches have had to preach patience to themselves.
Now they're reaping the rewards.
Perhaps the future has arrived early. Then again, it had no choice if Monterey was going to make a mark in the Gabilan Division.
