Saturday's game
Gilroy (4-2) at North County (0-6), 2 p.m.
Lets make this as simple as possible.
If you're North County, contain Gilroy's Brandon Boyd.
Of course, no one has been able to do that this fall.
The senior tailback is chasing a 3,000 yard rushing season, having compiled over 1,700 yards in the teams first six games with 23 touchdowns.
By comparison, the rest of the Mustangs running game has 158 yards and no touchdowns.
Boyd had rushed for over 300 yards four times this fall. Gilroy is 2-2 in those games.
The Condors have not started a season 0-6 since their inaugural year in 1978. Three of their losses have been by a touchdown or less. Carlos Anaya has been a bright spot at running back.
Gilroy is averaging 59 points a game during its current three game winning streak.
