King City-Gonzales volleyball

This match intrigues me.
 The Spartans (10-3) are trying to climb into the upper echelon of the Mission Trail Athletic League.
 Which means that door goes through King City, Carmel and Santa Catalina. That didn't go so well in the first round as Gonzales was swept by all three league powers.
 Gonzales is also trying to end a string of 24 straight losses to the Mustangs -- 23 of which have been sweeps.
 The last time the Spartans knocked off their rivals to the south was on Oct. 2, 2001 at home, beating them in five games.
