Summer baseball updates

Marc Flores continues to blister pitching in the Northwoods Collegiate Summer League, leading the league in runs batted in (61) and doubles (25).
Flores, who prepped at King City and played for Hartnell College in 2012, is second in the league in homers (11) and third in batting (.353).
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound first baseman-outfielder also has 91 hits in 64 games. Flores will be a senior this year at Hawaii.
A pair of Cal sophomores got hot in the second half of the Northwoods League in first baseman Nick Halamandaris and outfielder Devin Pearson.
Halamandaris, a four-year starter at Stevenson, who was drafted in the eighth round by Seattle in 2012, has hit four of his five homers in the second half of the season, driving in 36 runs.
Pearson, a two-time Herald Athlete of the Year at Carmel, has raised his batting average nearly 70 points in his last 35 games, hitting .273 with 19 runs batted in.
In the Alaska Baseball League, former Monterey High standout and Hawaii junior second baseman Steven Ventimilia led the Chugiak Chinooks in steals while finishing second in walks.
