Evolving last spring into one of the premier distance runners in the CCS in track as a sophomore for Monterey, Welsh will go into the fall as one of the elite Division III cross country runners.
Last year Welsh was 12th at the CCS cross country finals at Toro Park, clocking 16:36 over three miles.
