It's to bad the Mission Trail Athletic League and Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League can't merge and be divided into two divisions like the Monterey Bay League.
 Just using football as an example, what if the leagues were divided like this.....?

 Pacific Grove
 Soledad
 King City
 Soquel
 Aptos
 Scotts Valley
 San Lorenzo Valley

 Division II
 Greenfield
 Gonzales
 Marina
 Stevenson
 Santa Cruz
 Harbor
 St. Francis Catholic

 It's more balanced.
 Now you likely don't have a program asking in August if it can forfeit three games in league because of safety concerns.
 The MTAL and SCCAL are already in the same league for water polo.
