D.J. Slaton

The former Palma High hurler shared the team lead in wins this past spring at San Jose State with four, compiling a 4.04 earned run average.
 Slaton, who has another year of eligibility at San Jose State, had 49 strikeouts in 91 innings for the Spartans as a starter.
 As a senior at Palma, Slaton was a closer with a 90 plus mph heater, leading the tri-league area in saves with seven.
