Salinas-Carlmont softball

Saturday at Hawes Field in Redwood City, noon
Salinas (19-7) vs. Carlmont (24-3)
Division I
Redemption is on the minds of Salinas, who was ousted from the playoffs last year in the semifinals by Carlmont.
The Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division champion Scots are 17-1 in their last 18 games. On the season, Carlmont has outscored the opposition 215-27.
This is a balanced attack with six players hitting over .380 for Carlmont - five driving in 20 or more runs.
Salinas' only two setbacks in its last 15 games have come from top seed San Benito. Marah House and Amanda Laughlin have been hot at the plate of late.
Salinas and Carlmont are the only teams in the CCS to have beaten San Benito once this year.
