CCS girls track breakdown

The list of county athletes competing in the Central Coast Section finals and their projected finishes.

The top three qualify for the state championships
Girls
400 relay
Top mark: Piedmont Hills (48.24). 5th: Seaside (49.59). Projected finish: 3rd. The Spartans are capable of lowering their school record just on good handoffs.
100 hurdles
Top mark: Jessica Davis (King City) 15:27. Projected finish: 1st. Davis has a season best of 15.00. She will have to break 15 seconds to win the section title.
400
Top mark: Madeline Price (Menlo) 55.16: 8th: Tatiana Lee (Seaside) 58.4. Projected finish: 7th. The junior is capable of dipping under 58 seconds.
100
Top mark: Jayla Scholis (Seaside) 12.27: Projected finish: 1st. The section leader most of the spring, look for Scholis to slide under 12 seconds.
800
Top mark: Kylie Goo (Westmoor) 2:14.04: 3rd. Alex Lathos (Notre Dame) 2:15.00. Projected finish: 3rd. The junior distance ace may need to break her school record a third time?
300 low hurdles
Top mark: Maya Miklos (Gunn) 44.73. 6th. Jessica Davis (King City) 45.92. Projected finish: 2nd. The defending CCS champion may have to break 45 seconds to extend her season.
200
Top mark: Madeline Price (Menlo) 25.04: 7th. Jayla Scholis (Seaside) 25.28. Projected finish. 1st. The defending champion will blister the curve and dip under 25 seconds.

Top mark: Sarah Robinson (Gunn) 10:45.54: 6th: Vanessa Estrada (San Benito) 11:04.54: Projected finish: 4th. She has a best of 10:58.00.
Discus
Top mark: Fa Saulala (Live Oak) 127-3: 6th: Chelsea Andrade (Salinas) 109-5. Projected finish: 5th. The junior is playing with house money.
