 Has anyone done a better job coaching this year than Stevenson's Bruce Dini? Well, maybe Marina's Vernon Calhoun.
 The first year head coach isn't going to win a game this year — meaning Marina will close year three of 11-man football 0-26.
 Yet, the Mariners have shattered school records for points in a game and in a season. They have led in two games this fall and have been shutout just twice all year.
 For the first time, there is hope that Marina -- despite its inadequate facilities, can build off what it has achieved this fall.
 Reverse two plays and Stevenson could be 7-1 instead of 5-3. It's the only team in the league that was within a touchdown of Carmel in the first half.
