Monterey-Seaside football

This game has become such a monster rivalry that it often effects both teams in the first round of the CCS playoffs.
Remember, this isn't the final game of the season for Seaside or Monterey. It's not even for a league title this year.
Yet, there is so much emotion, anxiety and intensity involved that it drains the players. It won't help that you've got a 9-0 Seaside squad matching up against an 8-1 Monterey program.
Rivalries are great. But the ultimate prize comes with playing a game in December.

The winner of this game has a shot at a state play in game if they win their Div for playoffs..the Loser will most likely not have a shot even if they win their CCS division. So there is a little more on the line then a league title like years past.
