Pride and an 80-plus year old mega phone will be on the line for two programs, whose seasons come to an end on Friday.
Back-to-back losses in the final minute of its last two games will keep King City out of the playoffs. The Mustangs have not fallen to Gonzales since 2003.
During their current five-game skid, the Spartans are allowing 51 points a game. King City has been outscored 69-32 in the first quarter.
Todd Sans is 214 yards shy of 1,000 rushing yards for King City. Spartans quarterback Sergio Baez needs 214 passing or rushing yards to reach 2,000 total yards.
