 No. 2 Priory (20-8) vs. No.1 Notre Dame (23-10), Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Independence High, San Jose.
 Daisy Valladares and Emily Cunanan talked about how Notre Dame has struggled in rebounding from larger deficits in games all season.
 That changed on Wednesday when the Spirits rallied from a 20-11 deficit, closing with a 16-4 run in Game 1 of a four-game win over Castilleja.
 While Notre Dame had its moments in earning a trip back to the CCS Championships for the first time since 2008, it wasn't as sharp as head coach Katie Herrald would have liked.
 The Spirits are in the finals because they don't rely on one individual to carry them at the net. Three different players had 12 or more kills.
 Priory is similar with its attack. But what it did so well in sweeping Santa Catalina is it served them off the court. The Spirits have to be able to adjust their defense to serves that bend and dive.
