Capuchino-Seaside football

CCS Division IV playoffs
Capuchino (6-4) at Seaside (10-0), Friday, 7 p.m.
With 2,749 yards, Justin Ewing is 50 yards shy of breaking the CCS rushing record. He has scored 28 of Capuchino's 30 touchdowns this fall.
The 6-foot, 195-pound tailback piled up 494 yards in one game. Ewing also has two 300 plus rushing games and five 200-plus efforts. His worst game was a 159 yard night.
Seaside has not allowed a running back to rush for over 100 yards this year. In fact, its defense has allowed just 693 rushing yards all season -- 61 points all year.
Offensively, these teams are polar opposites. The Mustangs seldom put the ball in the air, choosing to put it into the hands of Ewing, who is averaging 7.5 yards each time he touches the ball.
The Spartans are going to air it out with quarterback Michael Turner throwing to as many as six different receivers, including his brother Ronnie.
Turnovers over the last month have slowed the Spartans offense and created a short field for the opposition.
