The Mustangs realize they control their fate towards the playoffs. If they win their final three games, they are in as the second seed for the first time since 2006.
Quarterback Jake Stephens has either thrown or rushed for over 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns this fall for King City.
Teammate DeAndre Sharif has caught a touchdown pass, returned a kickoff for a touchdown and
has an interception for a six. Sharif has three picks in his last two games.
Stevenson has dropped two games by a touchdown or less. Stephen Hotta has been a horse running the ball for the Pirates. Turnovers, though, have been crucial.
