North Salinas (1-2) at Pajaro Valley (1-3), Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the Salinas Sports Complex.
The last time the Vikings won two straight games was in 2008. Pajaro Valley has dropped 25 straight Monterey Bay League games.
Tailback Anthony Cantrell is on pace for over 2,000 rushing yards for the Grizzlies, having scored 10 of the teams 12 touchdowns this year.
North Salinas struggled against the run in its first two losses, giving up nearly 700 rushing yards and over 1,000 total yards.
Yet, last week the Vikings defense held Santa Cruz to 96 yards in total offense in earning their first shutout since Sept. 15 of 2006, a stretch of 63 games.
