Has anyone watched the progression of Carmel thrower Stephen Leach?
Does an eight foot improvement in the shot put get your attention?
Leach, who started the season with a career best of 48-feet-6, has uncorked the shot 55-4 this spring.
He has improved more than four feet in the last four weeks.
At this point, no one in the CCS is within three feet the senior, although last year's winning toss at the CCS finals was 57 feet. And St. Francis' senior Cody Bickham did throw 56-4 last year.
