The freshmen second baseman continues to sizzle at the plate for the University of Hawaii, raising his batting average a fourth straight week to a team leading .321.
Moved into the leadoff slot, Ventimilia has reached base in all 21 games for the 14-7 Rainbows. He leads the team in hits (22), runs scored (18), walks (21) and stolen bases (6).
Last year's Herald Baseball Player of the Year at Monterey, Ventimilia has reached base multiple times in 15 games.
