With a 10-4 vote securing the realignment changes for football next fall, gone is the Tri -County Athletic League.
Instead, there will be two equity divisions in the Monterey Bay League.
The 'A' division will consist of San Benito, Palma, Salinas, Gilroy, Alvarez, Monterey and Christopher.
The 'B' division will be Monte Vista, Seaside, Watsonville, Pajaro Valley, North County, Alisal and North Salinas.
Keep in mind that these changes are only for a year. Realignment goes up for review each year and can include up to three teams.

No creativity in naming the divisions? I guess it's to the point. Will b interesting to to see Christopher and Monterey in the A divivon. Will make the other sports othyer than football interesting as well (especially baseball).
i think i heard they were going to name them mountain and valley or something. whatever. as long as they don't do what the big ten did with their leaders and legends names or whatever.
yeah, it will be interesting seeing monterey and christopher in the A div. just a few years ago the MBL had 10 teams in it. the teams had one pre-season game and then had to battle it out against 9 opponents.
How about "Foggy" and "Hot"?
A division is Gabilan and B is...Pacific I think it is.
To NorCalSportsFan, realignment changes for each sport. So Christopher could remain in the B division for baseball. Monterey should be a lock to move in 2013.
