Holden Smith tied the single-season school record for touchdowns for the Padres with 32, set in 2009 by Dylan Hopkins.
The sophomore tailback, who won the starting job in August, broke the rushing record for touchdowns set by Hopkins, finishing with 29.

Congrats Holden! While some may say he owes this all to sharing the backfield with Devin Pearson (and to a great extent that is obviously true) anyone who watched you this year had to be impressed. Of course, both Devin and Holden benefited from some outstanding blocking from a super O-line and Carmel's selfless receiving corps.
I think we will see in the next two years that This year was no fluke in terms of Holden's production and success. Keep after it in the weight room!
