Salinas (7-5)
 No program made bigger strides in the second half. So what's knew? That's been Salinas' motto during its run of four straight playoff appearances, the first time that has occurred in the programs 92 years.
When Salinas was sitting at 2-4, no one on the roster panicked. The Cowboys ignored the criticism and went out and rattled off five straight wins to reach the CCS Division I semifinals a fourth straight year.
 Three of the teams Salinas fell to in the regular season had unbeaten streaks of 12, nine and eight. Final grade: B plus.
