Being state ranked over the final half of the season helped earn the
Coast Conference co-champions a trip to Yuba, who stunned then No. 17
Contra Costa in the season finale. Juan Johnson has rushed for 1,193
yards. Quarterback Jonathan Garcia has thrown for 1,472 yards and 12
touchdowns. Yuba's defense has intercepted 18 passes this year. The
Lobos have outscored opponents 109-44 in the first quarter, but have
been outscored 134-120 in the second half. Quarterback David Fales is
among the top six in the state in passing yards (2,517) and touchdowns (25).
Gerran Gordan has caught 52 passes. King City graduate Evan Umstead led
the Lobos in tackles with 64.
