Solano (7-3) vs. Hartnell (7-3) at Cabrillo College, 1 p.m.
Both teams come into the game having won four straight. Solano won the Bay Valley Conference while Hartnell gathered a share of the Coast Conference title. A common opponent is Monterey Peninsula, who Hartnell beat 36-24 last week while Solano was beaten 38-28 in Week 4. Alvin Jelks has rushed for over 1,400 yards and scored 18 touchdowns for Hartnell. Quarterback Austen Fales hit eight different receivers last week, tossing four touchdown passes. Hartnell has 38 sacks as a team, 10 1/2 from Juan Pacheco. Solano has outscored opponents 109-10 in the third quarter. It has outscored its last two opponents 77-14. Three quarterbacks have thrown for over 1,800 yards and 17 touchdowns.
