I have been told by league commissioner Tim McCarthy that before the Board of Managers vote on the proposed moves in football next fall, the athletic directors will have to approve it first.
One athletic director told me this decision is far from over.
My hunch is North County and Monterey will fight moving into the MBL's 'A' division and Seaside is not out of the woods yet.
And while three teams may ultimately not switch leagues, at least two will.

After reading all the comments the last couple days from all different blog posts on this New Equity League all I can is what a mess.. I believe when the Equity League was first discussed and voted on last year, there is no way that that they ( decision makers) had planned this thing all the way through.. Without prior criteria set on did anyone really think this process was going to be smooth..
This thing will have more turns and twists before its all said and done.. They might want to think scrapping it this year and sit down and re-think who really needs to be in each division..
I agree with John when he said this vote should have taken place AFTER the playoffs.. It's the talk of the town for anyone who follows High School Football in Monterey County... So you know if us Adults are talking about you already know the kids are just as caught up in as we are...
McCarthy said at the meeting that what was voted on there was pretty much final he didnt see any changes coming at the approval meeting dec 6. They are gonna vote on it quick and finalize it so teams can start getting there pre season schedule lined up
