Salinas graduate Xavier Nady was reunited this year with former Little League hero and Padres teammate Sean Burroughs with the Diamondbacks.
Nady is also part of the reason Burroughs is back on a major league roster after a drug addiction took him away from the game for five years.
Burroughs told ESPN today that it was Nady who visited him and remained in contact through his darkest days while he was in rehabs and rebuilding his life.
